READ ALL THE FACTS on what Victor Sims says about vouchers, and what he plans to do with one

Finding: DOCUMENTED: the same interview cycle, two opposite answers.

To the Polk Education Association, the union that endorsed him, Victor Sims described Florida's voucher system as a primary threat to public education because it moves state money out of district schools. In the same reporting cycle he told the Lakeland Ledger that he and his wife plan to home-school their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and that they would accept a state voucher for her. His written explanation: 'I can have concerns about the impact that a major expansion of vouchers may have on Florida's public education system while also recognizing that the program exists and making the educational decision I believe is best for my own child.' One set of answers for the union that funds his campaign, another for his own household.
